Dawn Tapia
Dawn Tapia joined the Khalsa Montessori School in the fall of 2006 as the Upper Elementary North Assistant Teacher and became the Transitional Kindergarten Directress in the fall of 2007.
Dawn has a B.S. from Austin Peay State University in Tennessee and has a K-8 Teacher Certificate for the states of Tennessee and Kentucky. She did her student teaching in Clarksville, Tennessee in 6th grade at the Kenwood Middle School and in 2nd Grade at the Smith Elementary School. For the three years previous to joining Khalsa, Dawn worked as a reading and mathematics instructor for Sylvan Learning Center.
Dawn received extensive Montessori kindergarten training at Khalsa during the spring and summer of 2007 and is currently taking Montessori teacher training through the South Mountain Community College Montessori program.
