She also worked for Arizona State University's Service Learning Program as the Site Supervisor for JFK Elementary School in Phoenix where she ran a literacy program for English Language Learners and supervised several interns. Lisa also spent seven years in commercial real estate, including sales, marketing and working with real estate-related non-profit groups.
Lisa graduated with a B.A. in Communications in May of 2000 from Northern Arizona University. Although partially through the Masters of Education program at Arizona State University, Lisa has put her own education on hold temporarily and shifted her focus to her children. She has an Arizona Substitute Teacher Certification and is considered by the Arizona Department of Education as a Highly Qualified Teacher.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Noelle and Brooke. Both girls are Khalsa students. Together they like traveling, visiting museums and cultural places of interest, hiking, ocean kayaking, and going to sporting events. She also enjoys reading, painting, and photography when time allows.
