Raquel Enrique
Raquel joined Khalsa Montessori School in the fall of 2006, as the garden coordinator, working in the gardens with small groups of children from each of the classrooms. After 4 years in the garden, she joined Treasure and Aide in Primary Upstairs as an assistant.
Raquel is currently attending Phoenix College, studying Biology for Secondary Education; she hopes to transfer to Arizona State University next year. Raquel has worked at other alternative schools, including four years in a Mesa school with children grades fifth through eighth; additionally, she worked in California with ninth through twelve graders.
Raquel has two daughters, ages 9 and 7.
