Graduation 2004
Graduate SpeakerAmanda GriffithIt is hard to believe that my days at Khalsa have come to an end. Not only that, but my whole grade school experience is now behind me . . . not forgotten, because these years have formed the person I am; the person I am about to become. I am one of the lucky ones; I have been fortunate enough to have had 11 years of Montessori education. My wish for others is to be at least as fortunate as I have been. I cannot leave this school without thanking, from the bottom of my heart, Jaswant Khalsa. When I was in 4 th Grade, I thought she was scary. When I was in 5 th Grade, I thought she was a pain. As I grew and matured my respect and admiration for her grew. I truly can say she pushed me to my limits and always knew what I was capable of when I was sure I should just give up. Jaswant, you are the best teacher. So to my younger Montessori brothers and sisters who will someday be in her hands, just know she only has your best interest s at heart. Let her guide you in your educational journey, you won't regret it . . . I sure didn't. Second, I would like to thank my mom for all the sacrifices she has made. There have been more then I can count. She always wants me to have the best that she can give me. I am so lucky that my mom is my best friend . . . how many of us can truly say that? My mom has always been there for me. She loves me unconditionally . . . luckily, I haven't ever had to put that to the test . . . she says I am the best daughter a mom can have!! Satwant, you must feel proud in knowing that a little piece of Khalsa will always be with us, everywhere we go. Hopefully we will all go out into the world and make a difference such as you have. To my friends: may you find peace and happiness in your journey... I know I will. |
