Graduation 2004
Graduate SpeakerArjan KhalsaSince I am completing my 13 th year at Khalsa School, I must admit that some of the years have gone by in a blur. What I do remember are my friendships. No friendships can cross the path of a person's life without leaving some mark on it forever. People come in and out of our lives, leaving us changed in some shape or form. The people who care about us, the people we care about in our lives, our family, friends, loved ones, and teachers, have all contributed to whom we are as graduates today. Our parents have raised us to believe in ourselves. I think that the different ways of learning in the Montessori program gave us the best education possible. Now I look back and I remember doing some of my favorite activities, for example the golden chain in primary, which helped me learn to count to 1000, and the test tubes in elementary, to help figure out division problems. The most important part of my years at Khalsa that I cherish the most is every good friend that has come into my life. I have kept most all of my friends that I have ever made. One girl in particular I have known since toddler, and up until now, we haven't always gotten along perfectly, but still manage to talk and joke about things. I remember in fourth grade there was another girl that I was never very nice to, and somehow the next year we became the best of friends. And now we do things together outside of school. I hope that I will continue to stay friends with everyone, even if I am going to a different school. |
