Toddler
Our tuition-based Toddler Program for students 24 months to 3 1/2 years old is situated in small, cozy, homelike environment near our main campuses. With a maximum of 11 students, our Montessori certified teachers are able to create a world carefully designed to meet the needs and the sensitive periods of toddler-aged child. Children's early years are the foundation upon which the rest of their life experiences are built. Our toddler program environment stimulates the toddler's senses in an attempt to produce an adult who can concentrate and organize, and who has self-confidence, self-control, and a high capacity for academic learning. Our toddler classroom also emphasizes learning basic social skills, language skills, self-care, eating habits, cooperation and sense of order.
Primary through Kindergarten
Our tuition-based Primary Program is a 3-4 year cycle for students 2 years 10 months to 6 1/2 years old. The final year of the Primary cycle is our Kindergarten Program which includes half day of tuition-free charter education. Through the early learning experience provided by our prepared environment, the primary-age child is given a firm foundation for all further learning. Classrooms have inviting hands-on materials in the areas of language, mathematics, sensorial, practical life, geography, cultural, science and Spanish. By manipulating materials, children start their understanding of concepts in these areas with a firm concrete base. By providing freedom within limits, children are allowed to work individually at their own paces and develop a self-motivated love of learning. Self-discovery materials help develop a mind that can independently solve problems and think critically.
Elementary Program
Our charter (tuition-free) Elementary and Middle School Programs build on the earlier Montessori experience and further develops good working habits, independence, self-assurance and the ability to concentrate. The elementary years are filled with rich experiences in math, language, science (botany to geography), art, music, history and sociology. The Montessori materials bring alive these areas while helping the child bridge the steps from concrete understanding to more abstract reasoning. Problem solving and critical thinking skills are further developed in all areas of the classroom and students are given a sense of connection and unity with their environment, the world and the universe.
