Shawntele Treasure Howie
Treasure joined the Khalsa Montessori School in August of 2008. Treasure is currently completing her AMS Montessori Teacher certification through South Mountain Community College. Previously to coming to KMPS, Treasure was an outdoor classroom assistant at Villa Montessori in a 3-6 classroom; she also worked at UMOM New Day Center as a Lead Teacher for two years. Treasure has studied at ISIS Southwest Expressive Arts, and the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. She is certified as a Catalyst for Community Building.
Treasure has held several volunteer positions with the Women’s Resource Center, the Herberger Theatre, the Black Poet Society, Ten Thousand Villages (Multi-Cultural International Education program), and the Alotta Festival.
