Lisa Callarman
Lisa Callarman joined Khalsa Montessori Elementary in August 2007 as the Upper Elementary South assistant teacher. Over the summer, she moved upstairs to assist the staff administratively. Prior to Khalsa, Lisa taught middle school in a charter that focused on children with learning and behavioral issues. She also worked for Arizona State University's Service Learning Program as the Site Supervisor for JFK Elementary School in Phoenix where she and seven interns ran a literacy program for English Language Learners. Lisa also spent seven years in commercial real estate, including sales, marketing and working with real estate-related non-profit groups.
Lisa graduated with a B.A. in Communications in May of 2000 from Northern Arizona University. She is currently working towards a Masters of Education at Arizona State University. She has an Arizona Substitute Teacher Certification and is considered by the Arizona Department of Education as a Highly Qualified Teacher, having passed the state required AEPA Professional Knowledge Exam.
Lisa enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Noelle and Brooke. Together they like traveling, visiting art museums, hiking, exploring caves, kayaking, and going to sporting events. She also enjoys reading, painting, and photography.
